Sunday, August 8, 2010, Tsunku♂ announced the graduation of the 3 members of Morning Musume at the Fall Concert 2010 of Hello Project. Kamei Eri, JunJun and LinLin would be leaving Morning Musume. Their last performance would be the last day of the Autumn Concert of Morning Musume on the 10th of December.
Here is a translation of Tsunku♂’s announcement on his blog (from Tokyohive.com)
Tsunku, the founder and producer of idol pop group Morning Musume, has updated his blog with tremendous news for fans; Kamei Eri, JunJun, and LinLin will be graduating from Morning Musume and a 9th generation audition will be held to fill their spots.
The producer went on to explain the reasons behind the departures. Kamei Eri has aparently been suffering from a skin condition called atopic dermatitis ever since she has joined the idol industry. It is a type of eczema that causes discoloration of the skin, which she usually hides with large amount of makeup when she goes on stage and takes medication because of it. However it is hard for her to fully recover from the condition due to the makeup, copious costume changes, and sweating from exercise and performances. Tsunku states that the condition could possibly move to an internal level, and even more so, has begun to affect Kamei on a mental level. She has therefore decided to leave Morning Musume to get her condition properly treated. It is unsure whether Kamei will rejoin the entertainment industry after her treatment.
The two Chinese members of Morning Musume, JunJun and LinLin, are leaving for different reasons. Tsunku states that they have grown as both singers and Japanese speakers and are now women who are capable of standing on their own two feet. They will be graduating and returning to China to continue their entertainment careers there.
All three graduations will take place at the same time, the final show of the Hello!Project 2010 fall tour.
While announcing the graduations of three of the members of Morning Musume, Tsunku also announced an audition for the 9th generation of the group. On his blog he states that he is looking for a girl that is between 10-17 years old, is healthy, wants to be number one in the entertainment world, and loves Morning Musume. Although he seems to imply that he is only looking for one new member from the auditions, Tsunku has been known in the past to change the number of accepted members on a whim.
The official audition application site is now online and can be visited here: http://www.musume-audition.com/home
It looks like fans will be seeing a drastically different Morning Musume by the end of the year. This is first time an audition has been held for the group since 2006, when Aika Mitsui was added. The group has been relatively stable for the past several years and this is definitely the biggest shake up of members in a long time.
Here are other sites that states the graduation of the 3 said members:
I have a few comments for this:
Okay, so I’m really behind updates and ever behind everything with H!P. I haven’t seen S/Mileage’s Yume Miru 15. Haven’t listened to it either. Even Mano Erina’s Onegai Dakara… lol
But I’m quite updated with Berryz of course. Just that, I suddenly did’t have time t post everything. I got work and I need to finish 50-275 word article in a week. I get paid $25 for all of it.. Dunno if it is too cheap for that or too much but damn, that’s $25. Here in where I live, $25 is already 1,150PHP. 😀
Anyway, since the PV of Morning Musume’s 43rd Single, Seishun Collection, came out, I would like to share it to all of you.
MP3 (PV-Rip) *to follow*
Don’t you think it’s too long? I dunno. I don’t mind songs that are long since some songs but not always, goes to about 5-6mins in length. But with this new song from MoMusu, I think it’s too long for the song. Though I like the song and still observing the PV, I guess I’m just used to MoMusu releasing normal length songs (3-4mins). And also, I’m not really an avid fan of them so I don’t really know.
Okay, since I started blogging here in wordpress, my posts had increased. It increased triple of my initial posts in the former blog at blogger. And this is my 100th post. To celebrate my 100th post, I’ll share an interesting thing that happened at Hello!Project’s 2010 Winter Concert ~Shuffle Date~. Of course, as the title said, it had something to do with our dear Captain and Morning Musume’s JunJun. Before I explain, watch this video. Though I won’t tackle anything about the thing about Chinami and S/Mileage because it is just about how loud Chinami is when practicing. S/Mileage could hear her from their room which is a room apart from Berryz and ManoEri’s room is between Berryz and S/Mileage. So Chinami is that loud when they practice. So anyway, watch this video first and the translation is located under the video.
Translation: (took from a comment under the video on YT – WaZaBi389)
Eri: Jun Jun is a big fan of Berryz Captain Shimizu Saki.
During their rehearsal, Jun Jun says, Sakis dance is really cool,
Saki’s so cute and Jun Jun always staring at Saki. (everyone cheers)
The other day Jun Jun was holding on to a present from Saki and smiling so much
Sayu: Thats suspicious!
Eri: The present was a very cute cup. (Eri imitates Jun Juns reaction~ lol)
Thats why their relationship is so suspicious.
Captain: Well I heard rumors, like Ai-chan told me that Jun Jun mentioned me a lot.
But Ive never heard Jun Jun say she likes me directly. (more cheers)
Sayu & Eri: Now is a good time. You should confess now Jun Jun
Jun Jun: Ok. I like you~
Reina: Is it alright? People? will get the wrong idea.
Eri: What part of Saki do you like?
Jun Jun: First I really like her dancing, then then somehow I just started to like everything about her.
Gaki-san: Jun Jun! Thats gross. Why are you blushing so much?
Jun Jun: I’m sweating.
Captain: Thank you Jun Jun.
When I watched this, I don’t have a translation but I figured it was about JunJun liking Captain in a ‘friendly’ way. I just couldn’t understand what Captain gave JunJun so I went to Hello!Online to check it out and so I got the translation there. Watching their reactions were fun and you wouldn’t guess there is this ‘relationship’ between our Captain and JunJun that we didn’t know. Of course, they didn’t mean the ‘relationship’ or the liking is the same as ‘like or love’ of a couple but it’s just admiration. In the translation, JunJun said she liked how Captain dances and then she started to like everything about her. That doesn’t mean that she is in love with Saki. She just admires how great Captain is, or so, how great she sees Captain.
So, could this be the start of Captain and JunJun couple in fics or pairing we like to make just to have fun? Because I’m good with new pairings. How about you?
We have waited for so long to watch the Winter Concert of our ‘idols’ in Hello! Project and now I have good news. 😀
Our wait and patience has not gone to waste and our prize:
All I could say – even though I haven’t finished watching the concert – is that I like their shuffle groups especially High-King. ❤
When they have shuffle groups, it gives the others chance to shine in a song or in a group. Though some groups still have some spotlight on one or two people, shuffle groups are good. 😀
Now, let me share one video with our lovely Ai, Eri & (Captain) Saki.
Even though Captain has little lines here, she plays a major role in doing those sound effects and those (lovely) second voices.
And look how wonderful these three are with each other. Just wonderful.
